| Masayo, a native of Japan, emigrated to Canada in 2005. While living in Japan, she enrolled in the bead crafting and design program established by the world-renowned Japan Beads Craft Association, and, after 2 years of study she earned her bead-crafting license, graduating at the top of her class. After marrying and settling down in New Denmark, New Brunswick, Masayo began making bead jewelry as a hobby, giving her beautiful creations as gifts to friends and relatives. Word spread about the quality and beauty of her work, and soon her hobby turned into a business. Today, Masayo’s jewelry is well known throughout New Brunswick and many of her pieces have been sent to Europe and even as far as Australia! | |
